I was born in Utah but have lived and traveled many other places in the world.  From the dusty desert of Utah to the black forests of Germany (and many places in-between).  Moving around a lot has instilled in me a love of travelling and getting to know the culture and people of all walks of life.  It remains one of the biggest passions of me and my wife.

I am the youngest of 5 kids and am lucky enough to have lived close to all of them at some point.  I love spending time with family as much as I can and love seeing my nieces and nephews grow up together.  My parents live close and we love to get together to eat, play, and build pirate ships in the backyard!

Education has been a big part of my life.  Not only did I get to attend a university but I spent it learning about the importance and methods of teaching.  I graduated from Utah Valley University in Elementary Education and a few years later I went back and got my Masters in Mathematics Education.  Although these were my schools, I'm still waiting (like many) for my Hogwarts acceptance letter.  :)  I am inspired by the constant need for all of us to be continually be learning!  Some of us are drawn to the arts while others love the sciences (or both!).  I believe the key to a happy life is to continually be learning about what you are passionate about.

I have taken the leap from classroom teacher to school administrator and I am excited and nervous and overwhelmed all at the same time!  It's an amazing and different opportunity for me to serve the scholars at our school.  I look forward to learning and growing from the experience and getting get to know more of the school than I have before.  I love being at NWA and helping to enrich the lives of all I come across!
