303 - Mrs. Rahman

Mrs. Rahman

3rd Grade
Extension 303
Room 303

I grew up in New York, mostly in Brooklyn and in Middletown. I have also lived in Pennsylvania, Idaho, Utah, Singapore and Malaysia. My family consists of me and my husband right now. We love watching movies, especially action packed ones. We also love spending time with our families.

I have 3 brothers, and a sister. I am the 2nd oldest, but the oldest of the girls. My older brother lives with his wife and daughter in Arizona. My next two brothers and sister are all in college either at BYU-Idaho or BYU- Provo. My husband has only 1 brother who was just married and lives in Boise. We love traveling and going on vacations with our families.

I knew since I was about 10 years old that I wanted to be a teacher. With that in mind I worked at summer camps as a counselor as well as a lifeguard growing up. Once I started college at BYU-Idaho, I studied Elementary Education and would substitute teach back in New York during my summers off track. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in December 2011. After I graduated I served a year and a half LDS mission in Singapore and Malaysia. Upon returning home, I worked as a substitute teacher again and was able to have a long term substitute position as a kindergarten teacher. When that year was over I decided to move to Utah, where I worked at Mana Academy 2015-2016 as a 2nd grade teacher. Following that school year I decided to relocate closer to home, where I found Noah Webster Academy.

I taught 3rd grade 2016-2017 and am looking forward to continue in 3rd grade. I love working with the people here at NWA, it is a big extended family at school and has become my home away from home.

You can find me at school most of the time, but if I am not at school, I love doing family history, learning about my Hispanic and Arabic heritage, reading books, making video scrapbooks and books, listening to music, dancing and hanging out with Mrs. Hosler and her dog Izzy.
