Governing Board



The Governing Board promotes the school's mission, vision and philosophy as outlined in the charter. They are the "keepers of the flame" regarding the school's mission and vision, as outlined in our charter. The board consists of 7-11 members, including the Parent Organization President. Board members are nominated by parents or guardians of current NWA scholars and chosen by the board from parent and community members. The board delegates operational and administrative responsibility for the school to the school's Director while retaining the the governance of the school and the responsibility to oversee the vision and policies of Noah Webster Academy. The Director serves as an adviser to the board.

The Board meets on the last Wednesday of most months. A schedule of meetings is posted below and an agenda for each meeting will be posted no less than 24 hours before the appointed meeting time. Board meetings are open to the public and all are invited to attend.
